Upstate NY Autism Awareness is a not-for-profit group formed by local parents of children with autism. The goal of the group is to raise awareness for the disorder and provide assistance, resources, family events and education to local families.

Autism walk raises more than $10,000
SOUTH GLENS FALLS - Upstate NY Autism Awareness held its first annual "Walk for a Difference" May 4, at the Moreau Recreational Center/Harry J. Betar Park.
The walk was held to benefit Newmeadow Saratoga School, Project Link, Asperger Syndrome Advocacy Group of Schenectady and Adirondack Enrichment.
More than 200 people joined the walk to support local children and their families affected by autism, and more than $10,000 was raised.
